WYNDHAM Pinheads have won Watchet & District Skittles League’s Landlords Cup after beating Quantock Stags in the final at Watchet Football Club (new).
The Pinheads won by 36 pins with Keith Jones and Dan Biggs top scoring with 101s. Graham Bolt was the leading skittler for the Stags with 102. Scores: Wyndham Pinheads 584, Quantock Stags 548.
Phoenix Knights and Premier Division champions Bell All Stars will meet in the final of the Alan Clark Cup after winning their semi-final matches. Scores: Allsorts 575 (Alan Shopland 106), Phoenix Knights 594 (Ryan Strong 114; QC Guys 520 (Mark Norman 98), Bell All Stars 546 (Adam Taplin 96).
With the league programme now complete, secretary Alan Bulpin writes: The Premier League was won by Bell All Stars who lost only one of their 20 league games, accumulating 60 points to see them 17 points above the next placed team Allsorts. The highest away score was claimed by Archie Walsh of QC Guys and White Horse Stallions’ Chris Weetch who both scored 145.
Division A was won by Has Beens with Railway Pinheads after a play-off match with Wyndham Warriors. The highest away score was claimed by Shane Yaw with 135.
Division B was won by Wyndham Pinheads after a play-off match with Wyndham Warriors. The highest away score was claimed by Lee Allen of the Badgers with 140.

The league remains strong in numbers despite the problems caused by Covid and the loss of many alleys. It would also like more younger skittlers to take part.
