PERFORMERS from around the country will be taking part in the 22nd West Somerset Folk Festival at the weekend.

The festival is being held at its usual venue of Carhampton Recreation Ground, from Friday, June 21, to Sunday, June 23.

The weekend of sing arounds, music sessions, and workshops will again see proceeds given to the Home-Start West Somerset charity.

Saturday evening will feature a concert and the festival has camping on site and a bar.

Also on Saturday afternoon the festival folk club includes afternoon tea and cakes with Rita Tremain and Terry Helyar.

Weekend tickets cost £30, while event and day tickets are also available, entry for children under 16 years old is free.
