ONE of the country’s leading university choirs will be performing in an ancient Exmoor church on Tuesday evening (August 8).
Selwyn College Chapel Choir, from Cambridge University, will be singing in the 15th century Priory Church of St George, Dunster.
The choir, founded in the 1890s, has up to 28 singers, 10 sopranos, and six each of alto, tenor, and bass, and regularly tours the UK and abroad each year.
Most of the singers are undergraduates or postgraduates of Selwyn and Newnham Colleges, Cambridge.
Tonight, they will be singing in St George’s for evensong at 6 pm and again for compline - the service of prayers at the end of the day - at 9 pm.
The services are open to anybody to attend.
