GARDEN lovers will have the opportunity next week to make an annual visit to Elworthy Cottage, Elworthy.

Mike Spiller is opening his grounds to the public on Tuesday, April 25, as part of this year’s National Garden Scheme.

Mr Spiller said: “There are snakes-head fritillaries, wood anemones, and primroses in the wild flower area, plus many other spring flowers.

“There will be teas in aid of the Children’s Hospice South West.”

The Elworthy Cottage garden will be open from 11 am to 4.30 pm for a £4.50 entry fee, with children free.

More information is available by calling 01984 656427 or visiting the National Garden Scheme website at https://ngs.org.uk.

The scheme gives visitors unique access to more than 3,500 exceptional private gardens in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Channel Islands.

Last year, it raised more than £3.1 million for nursing and health charities through admissions, teas, and cake.
