THE summer Bicknoller Flower Show is being staged on Saturday (July 27) in the village hall and a marquee outside.

The event starts at 2 pm and will see 29 trophies presented to the winners of classes including for fruit, vegetables, flowers, crafts, baking, preserves, floral art, and wine.

There will also be teas, live music, stalls, and an auction of exhibited items, while the first prize in a draw will be £100.

Free parking will be available in the nearby field and admission is £1 with children going free.

The committee puts on two events each year, with one held in March to show off daffodils and other spring flowers and shrubs, and it also organises two talks annually.
