CHILDREN at Danesfield School enjoyed a range of activities on World Book Day 2025.

Activities included creating their own stories, bookmarks and the 'Masked Reader' where teachers enjoyed hiding behind their favourite books, in the ever-popular quiz, with three winners enjoying some chocolatey treats and new books.

Staff and pupils also dressed up as a word with some creative entries such as 'onomatopoeia', 'casual' and 'sporty'. At lunchtime they enjoyed a Peter Pan menu with Captain Hook's Tick Tock fish cakes with curry swamp sauce and skinny fairy fries.

The school is looking forward to welcoming visiting author, Bali Rai, who will deliver reading workshops to all students on Friday, March 28.
