A NEW music festival will be launched in Dulverton next month on the banks of the River Barle running through the town.
The May 25 ‘Dulverton Sounds’ event will be staged on Exmoor Lawns with live music from 3pm to 10pm.
Music of almost every genre will be featured, including a brass band, folk, shanty, acoustic guitars, and more, and visitors can sing along to a session from pop divas, or country and western tunes.
A separate ‘Chill Out Area’ will be available for festival-goers to bring their own instruments, make friends, and join in and create their own folk music, between noon and 3pm.
There will be a refreshments area from 3pm featuring hot and cold food and locally produced beers, ciders, and spirits.
Tickets for the ‘Dulverton Sounds’ festival are now available online via the Visit Dulverton website or from Dulverton Post Office at £10 for the whole day, with children under 14 years free.
All festivalgoers will be issued with a wristband.
The festival sponsors include Oggies Music of Dulverton and Tarr Farm Inn.
More information about the event will, be on the Visit Dulverton website and social media pages https://visitdulverton.com/dulverton-sounds-music-festival.
