PILOT gig enthusiasts from throughout the region will be converging on Wimbleball Lake on Saturday, March 6 for a day of racing organised by Porlock Weir Gig Club.

So far 66 teams have entered eight races in a friendly competition aimed at getting in racing practice ahead of the World Gig Rowing Championships in May. The first race is at about 9.30am and visitors are welcome.

The event has been made possible by the headline sponsorship from Shearwell Data Livestock Systems. 

Raffle prizes will include three-nights in Beehive Cottage, Bossington Bay, a camping break at Westermill Farm and a night’s bed and breakfast at the Rest & Be Thankful Inn.
