STARGAZERS in West Somerset have been asked for their ideas for events to include in this year’s Exmoor Dark Skies Festival.
Plans for the annual nighttime festival have been progressing well, but Exmoor National Park Authority (ENPA) said there was still time for people to come up with any new ideas.
The Dark Skies Festival takes place between Friday, October 18, and Sunday, November 3.
The park authority already has a range of events in the diary across the moors, including a Space Odyssey Planetarium at Minehead Eye, dark sky talks, dusk safaris, and a range of stargazing presentations.
An ENPA spokesperson said: “We are sure there will be something for everybody to enjoy and we are looking forward to welcoming you to enjoy all the festival has to offer.”
The festival attracts thousands of visitors to the area during the off-peak tourism season and provides a boost for local accommodation providers.
A full programme will be published in August.
Anybody who wants to suggest an event to include within the festival or with an idea they would like to discuss should email [email protected].
More information about the festival will be put on the event website here over the coming months.
