THE social connection charity Re-Engage hosted 25 older guests at their annual Christmas party to enjoy some festive cheer.

The guests and volunteer drivers and helpers met at Timberscombe Village Hall for the national charity’s party on Sunday, December 8.

Attendees enjoyed a spread of sandwiches, tea and cake alongside themed activities including pass the parcel and Christmas bingo.

Local co-ordinator Renata said: "Re-engage is a national charity that gives older people the opportunity to make new friends and break the cycle of isolation.

“After Covid we decided to host a Christmas party to enable everyone to get together, and it’s now become an annual tradition."
