Environment Agency Flood Alerts for West Somerset remain in place ahead of further downpours this week.

As of Monday morning concern remained over Washford River at Beggearn Huish where water levels are considered high. The latest data from the Beggearn Huish measuring station records a water level of 0.55 metres, a level in excess of the top the river's normal range.

The alert comes ahead of further rain expected this week. The Met Office forecasts that rain will fall across Washford on Wednesday evening and on Thursday morning before conditions dry up toward the weekend.
