New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Somerset’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: MHA Communities Mendip at The Methodist Hall, 26 Paul Street, Shepton Mallet, Somerset; rated on February 19

• Rated 5: Breakfasts @ United Reformed Church Glastonbury at Glastonbury United Reform Church, High Street, Glastonbury, Somerset; rated on February 11

• Rated 5: Coffee#1 at 16 Westway, Frome, Somerset; rated on February 3

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: MGC Catering Limited at Mendip Golf Club, Golf Links Lane, Ashwick, Radstock; rated on February 11

• Rated 5: Pillars 501 at Unit 1, 3 Market Place, Shepton Mallet, Somerset; rated on January 31
