A HOMELESS man has appeared before a court after a break-in occurred at a West Somerset pharmacy premises over the weekend.

The 55-year-old was arrested by police following an incident in Minehead on Saturday (March 15).

Nicholas Miall, who was said to be of no fixed address, was subsequently charged with two counts of burglary.

He was brought before Taunton Magistrates’ Court, in St Johns Road, on Monday morning (March 17).

The charges related to an incident on Saturday where Avon and Somerset Constabulary officers were called to a suspected break-in at Alcombe Pharmacy, in Minehead.

Miall was released by the magistrates on conditional bail and ordered to appear before them again in seven weeks’ time, on Thursday May 8.
