A MULTI-agency emergency response was mounted on Sunday evening (October 22) when a man fell into the sea in Minehead Harbour.
A Minehead inshore rescue lifeboat was launched and the crew found the man and brought him back to shore.
Watchet Coastguards were also called and a coastguard rescue helicopter from St Athens, in Wales, landed on the beach nearby to help care for the casualty.
Officers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary also took part in the operation and paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Services NHS Trust.
After being assessed, the rescued man was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he was understood to be recovering.
