A VILLAGER crier competition is being hosted in Wootton Courtenay next month while residents enjoy a medieval feast.

Villagers are being encouraged to wear medieval garments and join ‘ye throng’ for the afternoon in the village hall on Monday, October 1.

Tickets cost £12, with the feast starting at 1pm, and the proceeds of the day going to St Margaret’s Hospice.
