NETHER Stowey firefighters helped police at the scene of an accident on the A39 on Friday evening.

They were called at 7.20pm and found one vehicle had been involved in a collision.

“Crews liaised with the police and made the vehicle safe before leaving the scene,” a spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said.
