A ‘GRAND opening’ is being held next week of a new library for All Saints’ Church of England and Dulverton Junior Schools.
The schools obtained ‘significant funding’ through the Cornerstones Reading Project which allowed them to invest in a new library.
It will be opened on Monday afternoon (November 18) with the whole community invited to attend and to have a look around the school premises.
Several authors taking part in this weekend’s Dulverton Exmoor Literary Festival will also be visiting the school for the occasion.
They include Hazel Prior, Sarah Easter Collins, Kate Lord-Brown, Victoria Eveleigh, and Clare Barker.
Many of the pupils have entered the festival’s children’s writing competition, where they have to write 500 words about ‘magical Exmoor’.
The open evening starts at 4.30pm and runs to 6pm.
A spokesperson said: “It will be wonderful to celebrate and promote such a wonderful asset to the school.”
