AN end of year movie has been issued by Hinkley Point C nuclear power station to show the highlights of its development throughout 2023.

The four-minute video features 'incredible engineering' from under the seabed to the top of the jib of the world's largest crane Big Carl.

A spokesperson said: "Every milestone takes Britain closer to net zero and stronger energy security."

Hinkley C will eventually operate two nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of power stations in Britain providing zero-carbon electricity for about six million homes.

The first reactor is scheduled to go online in June, 2027, with the second a year later.
