A RAFT of temporary road closures has been authorised by Somerset Council in dozens of communities across West Somerset to enable Kiely Bros to carry out phased prep works, surface dressing, and associated works from April 1 over the course of the following 18 months, allowing for the roads to be closed for up to one day while work is ongoing.

WESSEX Water will be renewing a stop tap in Sea Lane, Kilve, causing the road to be closed from April 9 to 11.

POLE testing by Openreach will mean the closure of Ash Lasne, Winsford, between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm on April 10.

CABLING works by Openreach in West Luccombe Road, Luccombe, will result in the road being shut between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm daily from April 22 to 30.

PRE-surface dressing patching works by Kiely Bros on behalf of Somerset Highways means Hawkwell Lane, in the parishes of Dulverton and Brushford will be closed between 7 am and 7 pm daily from April 7 to 14.

PARK Street, Dunster, will be closed for five days from April 21 to 25 while Wessex Water carries out new connection works.

A TEMPORARY 40 mph speed limit will be in force when indicated by traffic lights on the A39 Minehead Road through the parishes of Luccombe and Selworthy between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm daily from April 22 to 30 while Openreach carries out cabling works on an underground structure.

THE renewal of telecoms equipment by Openreach in Woodford Road, Nettlecombe, will see the road closed for six hours from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm on April 15.

POLE testing by Openreach in Ash Lane, Winsford, means the road will be closed from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm on April 10.
