POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses following what has been described as a “criminal damage incident” at County Hall.
Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement that neighbourhood police officers would be carrying out community reassurance patrols, after the unitary council headquarters was daubed in red paint and pro-Palestine slogans. A spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information following a criminal damage incident at Somerset County Hall, in Taunton, overnight in which graffiti had been sprayed onto the building. “Due to the nature of the graffiti, neighbourhood officers will be carrying out community reassurance patrols.
