MALMSMEAD Bridge, in Oare parish, will be closed for six hours between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm on May 8 while Openreach carries out pole replacements works.

WORK by Openreach on an underground structure will cause the closure of High Street, Carhampton, between 9 pm on May 7 and 6 am on May 8.

SEWER level equipment being installed through a manhole by Kier on behalf of South West Water means Halse Lane, Winsford, has to be closed to traffic from 8 am to 5 pm on May 8.

A STRETCH of Sparrows Lane, Exford, will be closed from May 200 to 24 inclusive while Wessex Water carries out new connection works.

PLUD Farm Lane, Stringston, is to be closed to traffic for four days from May 20 to 23 inclusive to allow Wessex Water to replace a chamber and cover.

A LAY-by off Hopcott Road, Minehead, is to be used as a storage area by Glamorgan Developments while new storm and foul drainage and manhole covers are installed in the road on behalf of Stratton Land Ltd, meaning the lay-by will be closed for 39 days from May 7 to June 14.

OPENREACH is installing fibre optic cables in Sparrows Lane and Kitridge Lane, in Withypool and Hawkridge, causing the roads to be closed daily from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm on May 6, 7, and 8.

A FOOTPATH blockage which needs to be removed by Openreach will see Northfield Road and Church Path, Minehead, closed for six hours between 9.30 am and 3.30 pm on May 9.
