THE first Minehead meeting of political party Reform UK was well attended with standing room only in Townsend House.
Reform Parliamentary candidate Fred Keen said: “The support was amazing.
“We discussed how our culture and heritage are under threat, and the need for radical reform to change lives for the better for the people of Minehead.”
Mr Keen said talks covered a need to scrap ‘net zero’, stop mass immigration, boost the economy with the basic rate of tax starting on more than £20,000, reduce the size of the State, and encourage business investment and economic growth.
He said: “I listened to people’s views and worries, including the lack of housing, the shortage of doctors and dentists, and the increase in crime.
“Reform will make it a national endeavour to get to zero waiting lists within two years, and to recruit 40,000 new frontline police officers over a five-year period.”
