Dressed in pink, the participants and organisers raised £700 for the charity.

An event organiser said: “Riders and their horses came from all over West Somerset to compete and many were resplendent in pink.”

A raffle was held with a selection of donated prizes from companies including Wychanger Country Store, Unicorn Saddlery items and meal vouchers for Woods restaurant, Dulverton. Proceeds from which contributed to the fundraiser.

A member of the West Somerset Riding Club said: “The club has been re-energised this year, doubling its membership and running a number of dressage and show jumping events plus lots of training and social activities.”
