Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm July 11 to 5am July 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 entry slip road closure for barrier repair, diversion southbound to junction 26 and return.

M5, from 8pm July 15 to 6am July 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 to junction 26 carriageway closure for structure inspections, diversion via A38 and Chelston Link.

M5, from 8pm July 16 to 6am July 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to junction 27 carriageway closure for structure inspections, diversion via Chelston Link and A38.

M5, from 8pm July 22 to 4am July 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to junction 25, lane closures for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
