Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And five of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.
And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 8pm February 19 to 6am February 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 entry slip closed for drainage works, diversion via, junction 25 and back.
• M5, from 8pm February 22 to 6am February 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 exit slip road closure for road markings, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 26 and return.
• M5, from 9pm February 23 to 6am February 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 entry slip road closure for road markings, diversion via M5 northbound to junction 24.
• M5, from 8pm February 26 to 6am February 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27 closed for carriageway repairs, diversion via A38 to junction 27.
• M5, from 9pm February 26 to 6am February 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 to 26 lane closures for road markings.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
