TELEVISION antiques expert Adam Partridge will be hosting an event in Dulverton next month in the latest initiative to attract more visitors to the town.
A team from Adam Partridge Auctioneers will help to promote the town with a valuation day being organised by Visit Dulverton.
Visitors will be able to take items such as antiques, jewellery, fine art, and collectors’ pieces to Dulverton’s historic Town Hall and have them valued and their history explained by the firm’s specialists for a small fee.
The event is being held on Saturday, March 25, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm.Adam Partridge appears regularly on television programmes such as Flog It!, Antiques Road Trip, Dickinson’s Real Deal, and Bargain Hunt.
He said: “The last two years have been very difficult for so many businesses, but also for towns and villages impacted by a lack of visitor numbers.
“When we were asked to offer a team of valuers for this event we instantly said yes, and with our new salesroom only a few miles away in Hele, we hope to be visiting this area a lot in the future.”
For items to large to carry, or for those with more than three pieces, Adam Partridge Auctioneers is also offering home appointments on March 25 and 26.
And for anybody who wants to sell their items, they can be accepted on the day for a future specialist auction.
Visit Dulverton spokeswoman Ali Pegrum said: “No appointments will be necessary at the Dulverton Antiques Valuation Event – What’s It Worth?“It will be first come, first served, with a simple ticketing system on the day.”
More information about the event will be available Visit Dulverton’s website and social media pages.
