A PLANNED open day on Sunday (May 12) at Cowbridge Sawmill and Forge, Timberscombe, has been cancelled after the sudden death this week of owner Owen Rush.

Mr Rush, who bought the mill with his wife Angela in 1995, oversaw a restoration of the 14th century mill and its 14-foot water wheel which saw it become a working heritage sawmill.
