ONLINE ticket sales for this year’s Dulverton Exmoor Literary Festival go live at 12 noon Friday (September 1), following an ‘early bird’ offer earlier in the week for people who attended the inaugural event last autumn.
The 2023 festival is to be held over the whole weekend of Saturday and Sunday, November 18 and 19, with author talks in Dulverton Town Hall on both days, and creative writing workshops in the library on the Saturday afternoon.
Some of the top names attending include Michael Morpurgo, Andrew Lownie, Janet Ellis, Rachel Johnson, William Sitwell, Henry Jeffreys, Sarah Turner, Albert Read, Julian Glover, Alice Thomson, Catherine Ostler, Harry Borden, and Dennis Coath.
Tickets will be available from the Visit Dulverton website, which has details of the full festival programme.
The festival programme was being printed this week and copies will be delivered to a number of places across Exmoor and the wider Somerset and Devon, including libraries, schools, tourist information centres, pubs, restaurants, tea rooms, end Post Offices.
Waterstones Barnstaple will again provide a pop up bookshop at the festival for author book signings.
Visit Dulverton spokeswoman Ali Pegrum said: “The programme has the list of generous local businesses who have sponsored this year’s festival.
“Without their support the event could not go ahead. We are immensely grateful to them all.”
