A FIRE and rescue crew from Wiveliscombe was called to help police deal with a two-vehicle crash on a rural road in Bathealton.
They were joined by a crew from Wellington and on arrival found two people were trapped in the vehicles.
Four other occupants had by then managed to free themselves from the wreckage.
Once the firefighters had stabilised the vehicles and created space they were able to help the remaining two people out of the vehicles
The occupants were then handed over to ambulance paramedics who were on the scene and the police took control of the incident, which happened at about 11.50 am on Wednesday of last week.
