A VILLAGE survey is being carried out by the parish council in Williton in response to current and proposed new housing developments extending the community to the north and south.

Councillors have recognised the ‘challenges as well as opportunities’ posed by the village’s steady growth.

Now, a steering group of residents and councillors has been set up to find out what people believe is important to help the council prioritise investment and to develop an action and funding plan.

Everybody who lives in Williton and Doniford and Stream is being encouraged to give their views before the survey closes on Monday (October 21).

The findings will be published next month and individual information will remain confidential and anonymous.

The survey analysis and review is supported by the Community Council for Somerset.

Two forms are available for adults and for youngsters aged 10 to 19 years, which can be found here and here.
