A PERSON needing urgent medical help saw emergency services descend on Carhampton on Friday morning (September 22), resulting in major disruption.
The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance landed in the village with its critical care team, which comprises at least a doctor, specialist practitioner, and a pilot for each mission.
South Western Ambulance Services NHS Trust sent two land ambulance crews, while Avon and Somerset Constabulary officers and police medics also attended.
The multi-agency response was sparked by a ‘concern for welfare’ call.
A spokesperson for the Minehead Neighbourhood Policing Team said on social media: “We would like to thank those caught up in the disruption at Carhampton for their patience as we dealt with a medical emergency resulting in a multi-agency response.”
