WATCHET Town Band gave a joint performance on the Esplanade with the West Somerset Brass Band on Friday evening (July 26) to kick-start the town’s carnival weekend in memory of Richard ‘Dickie Dido’ Binding, who died a year ago, aged 80.

Dickie served with the two bands across seven decades of his life, joining the town band at the age of 12 years.
