FIREFIGHTERS from Williton worked with Watchet Coastguards on Monday evening (August 12) to rescue a woman who had become stuck in mud on the coastline near Blue Anchor.

The incident happened shortly before 8pm and the woman was freed in less than an hour.

Also on Monday evening, potential new coastguard recruits visited the Watchet station to learn more about the role.
