WEST Somerset two main football teams - Watchet Town and Minehead - had their matches rained off yesterday.
Watchet were due to play away to Clutton in the Premier Division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League.
The game was called off on Friday - and means Watchet have another game to rearrange, although the season has been extended. It will not now end until May 13.
"It did not come as a surprise, because it's rained all week," said Watchet's assistant manager Nick Sully. "Obviously it's disappointing but there is nothing you can do about it"
The postponement of the first team enabled manager Avril Cooke and Sully to watch Watchet Reserves in action against Minehead Colts.
Minehead's game at home to Winscombe in the first division of the County League was postponed following a pitch inspection in the morning.
