ELAINE Amery, of Williton Bowls Club, continued in the national singles and progressed through to the next round after winning 21-4.
Williton’s A and B team both lost in the West Somerset league.
Friday was the quarter final of the national fours with Ian Hayes, Phil Ash, Derek sully and Callum Harrod playing a four from Portishead but unfortunately lost by just a few shots in a very tight game.
Saturday was a busy day with the next round of the national champion of champions in the morning when two Williton bowlers went head to head, Phil Ash loosing narrowly 21-17 to Ian Hayes.
In the afternoon Elaine Amery was off representing Somerset in the Walker Cup.... Somerset coming out victorious!
The men were back in county league action hosting Congresbury, a great afternoon filled with great bowls. Alan Blackmore, Dave Scales, Mick Grogan and Derek Sully lost 26-19, Clive Penner, Andy Fish, Rich Waterman and Phil Ash won 24-12 and Ian Hayes, Stan Martin, Dave Middleton and Callum Harrod won 27-15. Williton winning overall and claiming ten points. Those ten points mean Williton currently sit top of the Premier 2 table.
Sunday saw Williton beat Porlock on 3 of 6 rinks and overall in the Exmoor Trophy League.
