BRIDGETOWN crashed to a ten-wicket away defeat against Ashbrittle on the opening day of the season in Division One of the West Somerset Cricket League.
Bridgetown were bowled out for only 81 in 36.1 overs with only Chris Wookery, 17, and Paul Matravers, 19, managing to get into double figures.
Harry Norman (3-12) and Oliver White (3-22) were the main wicket-takers, while Matt Lovell (2-7) and Callum White (2-18) piled on the agony.
Ashbrittle openers Luke Williams (53 not out) and Wilfred Embleton (21 not out) hit off the runs required in just under 17 overs.
Ashbrittle collected 40 points and Bridgetown eight.
