MINEHEAD Under 13s gave an impressive performance with teamwork and brilliant finishing, to earn themselves an emphatic 7-0 home victory over tRuishton Robins in Division Three of the Under 13 section of the Taunton Youth League.
In a thrilling encounter the Minehead team, captained by George, showcased their hard work and tactical discipline, particularly in the midfield and defence.
The home team worked tirelessly to stifle Rushiton's attacks, with a solid defence and a well organised midfield. The backline, led by George, was resolute, earning a well-deserved clean sheet.
The team was quick to exploit Rushiton's high defensive line, with precise and effective ball movement that created several opportunities. The opening moments of the match set the tone, as Lucas scored an incredible goal just 20 seconds in. He continued to shine throughout, bagging four more goals for a sensational five-goal performance.
The opposition simply couldn't handle the pace and skill of both Lucas and Zack, whose attacking runs constantly troubled their defence.
Despite some tense moments, the team maintained their composure and kept playing their football. They were clinical with their chances, converting them with confidence and precision. Harrison also got on the scoresheet with a well-taken strike, while Jacob capped off the victory with a crucial goal.
