DUE to a wet pitch Porlock travelled to Williton to play their home game against table toppers Stogursey in the Taunton and District Saturday League Premier Division and lost 4-3.
Porlock started well in the very wet conditions with an absolute screamer coming from Gav Paviour putting them into an early lead.
Stogursey grew into the game and it wasn’t long before they equalised following a corner and a defensive mistake, after which the game was quite even for a while.
The conditions seemed to suit Stogursey and it wasn’t long before Porlock found themselves 3-1 down.
With some midfield changes Porlock pushed for a goal and were awarded a penalty which Callam Barnfield scored.
The away side came back with a quick ball over the top and Stogursey scored to make it 4-2.
Porlock found some rhythm and pushed for another goal, which eventually came from a lovely bit of play down the wing from Callum Barfield who scored another.
It was all a little bit too late for Porlock, who disappointingly lost the game 4-3 in the end.
Porlock: Chris Barrett, Chris James, James Griffiths, James Taylor, Zac Brown, Beau Winter, Gav Paviour, Jack Richards, Jack Evans, Adam Langdon, Bogdan Albei and Braden Taylor.
