WATCHET Town have begun their preparations for life back in the Premier Division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League with training this week and plan to hold twice a week sessions at the Memorial Ground from now on.

New and existing players are welcome to attend from 6.15pm until about 7.30pm and are asked to bring trainers as well as boots.

With their pitch unavailable for games until September owing to cricket matches, the Red & Blacks have friendly fixtures away from home booked in against Bishops Lydeard Reserves on Monday, July 15, Burnham United on Thursday, July 18, Bishops Lydeard first team on Thursday, July 25, as well as Wembdon pencilled in for Tuesday, July 30.

Watchet's league campaign is due to get underway in the first weekend of August (Saturday 3) when they will kick off with the usual sequence of away fixtures which are expected to be made public by no later than the third week in July.

Under new management with Kris Stevens and Paul Landon stepping down, Watchet Town Reserves have friendlies booked already in August prior to beginning their season in Division Two of the Taunton Saturday League the following month.
