MINEHEAD Cycling Club members were spread all over Europe this month. This ranges from touring in Germany to exploring the gravel roads of Dorset and the King Alfred Way.

Regardless, the highlight must be Terry and Caroline Carpenter's performance at the Wellington Wheelers 10-mile Time Trial on their tandem. Hard training for an earlier national event has paid off as they improved their finish time by three minutes to take the tandem class win in 33 minutes.

Also in action at this Wheelers event was Geoff Ware who finished in 26 minutes. Geoff then swapped to his MTB the next evening and joined the club off-road group, who rode a spectacular route overlooking the channel from Horner.
