MINEHEAD Ladies travelled to Exeter to face Isca 3s in their first hockey game after the long Christmas break.

Minehead started the game strongly with good link-up play between forwards and midfield. Isca piled on the pressure with multiple waves of attack and were soon rewarded with two deflection goals in quick succession.

Minehead kept fighting and went into half-time with a positive outlook. The second half saw Minehead revitalised and pressured Isca for the full 35 minutes. Unfortunately, this pressure couldn’t be turned into goals. Exmoor Adventures player of the match: Sue Garwood.

On Saturday, January 25, Minehead face Honiton Hornets at WSSC (10:30am.). All support is welcomed.
