OVER Stowey Cricket Club recently held their annual Presentation Evening to celebrate their successful 2024 campaign. 

With players, sponsors and vice-presidents in attendance, a four course meal was followed by speeches and the presentation of trophies. 

James Swales dominated the 1st XI awards, picking up two batting and a bowling award, with Kieran Barrow picking up an award for best bowling average; whereas the 2nd XI the batting awards went to Mark Sortwell, with Oli Washer picking up bowling awards.

Fielding awards went to Simon Burland for 1st Team catches, and Tyler Coleman for 2nd XI catches. Charlotte Sortwell was the club's most improved player; Hayden Langlois picked up the Players Player award; Les and Hilary Biffen were awarded clubman and the coveted Hole in the Hand want to Matt Cunningham.

In his speech club chairman, Les Biffen, thanked all those who contributed on the pitch, and those who gave up their time off it, throughout a successful season, where the club won the West Somerset League Knockout Trophy. 

The club would also like to thank J & J Catering for a wonderful meal at the start of the presentation evening.
