PORLOCK gained a 9-1 win over Bridgwater & Albion in the second round of the Taunton Saturday League's Rowbarton Charity Cup which was played on the 3G pitch at Court Field School, Wellington.
Porlock were quickly off the mark and looked sharp. They went ahead through a well taken goal by Harry Scatchard and it was not long before Porlock found the back of the net again with Ollie Morris being the scorer.
Porlock were in complete control of the game now and Scatchard hit a post with a screamer from 30 yards out. However, a misplaced pass fell to an opposition player and with a lucky finish beat the Porlock keeper to leave the score at 2-1.
Porlock needed to score the next goal and they were not disappointed with another goal for Morris, the man who can’t be stopped at the moment.
The halftime whistle went and the Porlock managers knew that the team could push for more goals in the second half.
Porlock looked even sharper after the break and it wasn’t long before Morris completed his hat trick. The goals just kept coming with Scatchard also completing his hat-trick and taking his total to four. There was also one for Jack Evans and one for Finley Priddle.
