THE TOP of the table clash in the Premier Division of the Watchet & District Skittles League between leaders Bell All Stars and second placed Allsorts delivered another outstanding individual performance by All Stars’ Barrie Jones, who hit 142 in their 26 victory.

On the last hand he failed to pick up the spare that would have given him the highest away score of the winter so far. Alan Shopland topped Allsorts scoring with 115.

Q C Guys move into third place after Mike Stout hit 109 in the 48 pin home win over Bottoms Up, Mathew Phillips scoring 106 for the visitors. Steve Bosley started the new year with a score of 125 as Jack came away with the points, beating Three Ferrets by 30 pins, Tyrone Ash scoring 120 for the home side while James Parish 124 led Rebels to a 27 pin away win against Phoenix Knights for whom skipper Chris Pople hit 110.

Railway Steamers are the clear leaders of Division A after Phil Perkins hit 111 in the 59 pin home win over Has Beens whose Mark Clausen was tops with 94 while Barn Owls slip back to second place after Dave Jones with 112 led Combwich Otters to a 67 pin home victory, Dean Marchant knocking 94.

Williton Club finally brought their winless run that stretches back to October to a halt after Matt Williams with 95 led them to a 15 pin a way win over Outsiders for whom Harry Chidgey hit 86.

Division B leaders Wyndham Warriors resumed their campaign with Phil Trunks hitting 120 in the narrow 16 pin away win over Dizzy’s Boys, Pete Mather scoring 105 and 95 from Ian Rottenbury led them to a 6 pin away success over Quantock Stags, Graham Bolt top of the alley with 103.
