WATCHET Town lost ground on the leaders Staplegrove in the first division of the Somerset County Football League after they drew 1-1 away with Middlezoy Rovers.
Ed Townsend scored a second-half equaliser for Watchet after they had trailed 1-0 at half time.
Staplegrove, who won 2-0 away to Nailsea & Tickenham in midweek, are six points clear of Watchet who have two crucial games in hand.
Minehead, who had Martyn Phillips playing up front, suffered a 2-0 away loss against third from bottom Stockwood Green but remain 11th in the division.
Both Watchet and Minehead are home this coming Saturday - against Castle Cary and Yatton & Cleeve United respectively.
