WITH the new cricket season getting closer, junior indoor training at Minehead Cricket Club is well underway overseen by the new junior organiser Andy Dyer. In addition to Andy the other coaches involved with the juniors are Harry Tudball, Brian Penny and Ian Goodrum. Andy said: “Numbers at the training sessions have been very good particularly in the Under 11 and 13, but we could do with a few more players in the Under 15s. “A lot of those coming along to training started playing through All Stars and have carried on through the age groups which is really good.” All Stars takes place this year on Thursday evenings, starting in May. Anyone who has booked previously has priority access as from April 3rd by logging onto the ECB website/All Stars. Outdoor training for the juniors starts on Tuesdays 9th April 5.30 -6.30 for Under 9,s and 11’s followed by the under 13’s and15’s at 6.30 - 7.30 . Registration will take place on the 9th regardless of the weather. This year the Under 11s will be coached by Harry Tudball, the Under 13s by Andy Dyer and Under 15s coached by Brian Penny.
