A DUTCH police counterterrorism expert has met with West Somerset officers while on holiday in the Minehead area.

Lauran de Jonge, who holds the rank of Chief Inspector in Zeeland-West-Brabant police, in The Netherlands, called into the Minehead police station during his holiday and was greeted by local neighbourhood beat PCSO Mark Middleton-Smith.

The two exchanged badges from their respective forces.
