CHANGES to the Minehead to Taunton bus service timetable announced by Buses of Somerset came into effect on Monday (June 3).

The company said the changes were aimed at improving service and adding capacity on the No28 and X28 route.

The new timetable for the 28/X28 Minehead bus includes extra journeys between Taunton and Bishops Lydeard to ease capacity issues.

The X28 service will also operate at different times throughout the day.

Buses of Somerset commercial director James Eustace said: “We want to get our service right in Somerset and following customer feedback on our April network changes we have made some amends.

“It was clear we needed to add more journeys to the popular 28/X28 route, and look at other services to further improve punctuality.”

Full timetable details are available on the company’s website, but passengers were advised to check details before travelling ahead of the new services coming into effect.
