EMERGENCY services were called to rescue a horse which became trapped in a pond in the West Anstey area.
Crew from South Molton and the animal rescue team from Barnstaple responded to the incident on Saturday, September 7.
Shortly after crews started working on rescuing the horse using ropes and a tele-handler, it managed to free itself and the animal rescue team was stood down.
Crews were called to the incident shortly after 11am before standing down at 1.15pm.
