Jaw-dropping pictures show a huge generator part arrived at the new £26bn Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.
Hinkley Point C's 12m-long stator will generate enough low carbon electricity for 3 million homes.
Gordon Bell, Hinkley Point C spokesman, said: "It’s another big day for Britain’s energy security as the 450-tonne generator stator, which converts the mechanical energy of the turbine into electricity, arrives at the construction site in Somerset after another safe delivery by road, rail and sea."
The turbine generator stator - the largest ever constructed by Arabelle Solutions - arrived on Sunday (November 17), completing the journey from the factory in Belfort, France.
